Just can’t sleep…..

Was just up thinking about my soulmate and listening to her music…….. funny how life gives you a gift but takes it back, and you can still be grateful for that one fleeting moment.  If ever there was a miracle in my life other than my own kids (Carl that means you too.) and husband, she was, is and always shall be embedded in my heart and mind forever.

Where the !@#$##@@! Have I Been!

I  have been missing for soooo long that I was starting to wonder about me! But at last, I have been found again! Been very sick and also tired of being sick alot but I guess that’s life. Now for some strange updates:

  1. Haven’t worked in a restaurant in quite a while; about 2 years to be exact. Working in a dental office but hating it more every day. Corporate
  2. America really needs to get a clue on how to treat Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Public…… after all, it is they that can make or break your business.
  3. I may only be 40 years old, but I wish something would let my body know that this is not old age! Or at the very least, tell my stupid brain to grow up and stop laughing at fart jokes!
  4. I will be a grandmother in March! I think a very young grandmother……(please see #2.)
  5. I will finally get my wish of moving out of state sometime next year.  Goodbye sweet home Chicago……Hello almost heaven West Virginia!
  6. Lost a few animals and gained a few new animals! (God always makes a way when needed.)
  7. I have learned that my Babygirl (Munchkin- small female cat) is a hardcore couch potato; her favorite channel is, of course, Animal Planet and her favorite show is Meerkat Manor and various credits from some movies…… The Star Wars saga keeps her entertained for quite awhile.

With all of this put into perspective, no wonder I went into hiding!

A Day in the Life …

Hi All! It’s me again…FINALLY! Lotsa shit been going on lately. I’ll try to mention as much of it here as I can remember.

Had to make an emergency trip out to Las Vegas in October. My step-dad, Marvin had a heart attack and we went out there to help out my mom-in-law. Thank God he’s a stubborn ass and everything turned out just fine there. Just wish we could have stayed there longer and under better circumstances.

My Mom had back surgery also at the end of June and though her recovery went well, she has still been having some pain so she went in for another evaluation and found out she has scoliosis (curvature of the spine) and so she has been going through therapy to help strengthen her back muscles and that has been helping and all should be better for her soon.
My Dad has had a persistent cough for about three or four months, so the doctor did a chest x-ray, and found a nodule on one of his lungs. They decided to run a CT scan to check for cancer and it turned out that it was scar tissue built up on his lung and not cancer, and he is doing a bit better as well. Let me tell you, that was the longest time I ever spent waiting for those results even though it was only about four days.

Azam, one of the BEST managers IHOP has ever had, quit on October 30. It was one of the saddest good-byes we have ever had. Thank God Vania is still there as well as Azam’s replacement, Arusa. She is a very nice lady and if Azam won’t be there at least she’s cool person to work with.

David has changed security posts because Burns Security lost the national Verizon account and now he has to work morning shift (5:45 a.m. to 3:45p.m.) at a place called The Pampered Chef in Addison, Il. Being that I start my shift at 4:00p.m. I don’t get to see as much of him anymore but at least we see each other on weekends.

So, now that you see just a bit of the shit I’ve been dealing with lately, maybe you can forgive me for not blogging as often as I should.
P.S. More to come later!

Me-Ow Again

Where in the Hell have I been?! Well, I just got back from West Virginia again and I thought the diversion of the glorious scenery and missed family members would have done me much better but I miss those mountains and familiar back roads already. By the way, to the Beckley Officer that pulled us over, GET OVER YOURSELF!

YOU LOOK LIKE A PENIS WITH A FUNNY LITTLE HAT ON AND YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A POWER TRIP WITH A BADGE! GO TAKE YOUR BATTON AND STICK IT UP YOUR ASS! THEN MAYBE YOU”LL BE A PERSON THAT OTHERS CAN GET ALONG WITH! YOU PROBABLY STROKE YOURSELF IN YOUR SQUADCAR!

With all that being said, of course the trip was awesome! I actually got to see the M&M truck transporting the famous #38 Nascar driven by Elliott Sadler! I just hope I didn’t get that poor truckdriver paranoid! I kinda followed it for 60 miles of the trip. (I know, I’m pathetic, but it was really fun!) I’m going to try to get the pictures online soon in the gallery but since David got his promotion his time is very limited. I’m going to write again soon and tell you of all the other “GREAT” shit that’s been going on lately.

She Got Her Dreamhome, and It’s Heaven

Hey All! I just wanted to post a quick thanks for all the prayers for my beloved friend Kathleen Summers. I am very sorry to say she passed away on Thursday, March 24th in the evening, but at least now she is not in pain or suffering anymore. It is a very deep loss for all of us at IHOP and to anyone else fortunate enough to have met her. As I said before, she had just bought her dreamhouse and hadn’t even moved in yet. I guess God had an even better home for her waiting in Heaven.
